How to add a subscribe animation in CapCut
Your graphic comes with a green background, and CapCut’s chroma key takes it out, on a phone or a computer. Use the MP4 for both: CapCut shows the see-through WebM as a black box.
On a phone
- On the graphic’s page, type your channel name, pick your colours and the shape of your video (16:9, or 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok and Reels), then download the MP4.
- Open your video in CapCut and move to where the graphic should play.
- Tap Overlay, then Add overlay, and choose the MP4. If CapCut doesn’t list it, save it to your videos first (on an iPhone: open it in Files, tap Share, then Save Video).
- Pinch it until it fills the frame. The graphic is already in the right place in the picture.
- Tap it to select it, then scroll the toolbar along the bottom until you see Remove BG, and tap it.
- Choose Chroma key, then drag the colour picker onto the green.
- Move the Intensity slider until the green has gone. The right amount depends on your phone and your video, so go by what you see.
On a computer
- Download the MP4, the same as on a phone.
- Import it and drag it onto the track above your video, where it should play.
- Click it on the track, then open Smart tools in the panel on the right. (Double-clicking it opens the same panel.)
- Choose Remove background, then Chroma key.
- Take the eyedropper and click the green. It disappears, leaving your video behind the graphic.
